Training of community volunteers from all over Boyo division in Njinikom city hall on how to become a village health worker
ASEED in collaboration with GlobalEduPal - Germany and BARUDEV a community-based organization, organized a training workshop in Njinikom council from the 8th to 13th June 2015 with ASEED Community Volunteers from the different communities in BOYO division.
The training workshop aimed at educating and empowering the community volunteers on different health issues they faced in the communities and for them to become community health workers to help reduce the prevalence of diseases in their various communities.
The Community Volunteers acquired knowledge on different health issues, received some basic treatment and referral skills and medical equipments were given to them. Also, continuous medical assistance was provided to the community health workers as they were being followed up by ASEED to assess the rate of diseases prevalence in their different communities.
