ASEED in partnership with North West Cooperative Association donated bags of corn seedlings to some 30 farmer’s groups in Boyo division.

On Friday 20th March 2015 ASEED in collaboration with North West Cooperation Association organized an activity to donate 140 bags of high yield maize seeds to 40 different women groups in Belo sub division to cultivate during this farming season. The ceremony started at 10:00am with a word of welcome from the women’s network president Mrs. Linda who thanked the various women organizations for coming out in their numbers to receive seeds for the planting. The floor was then given to the Sub-Divisional Delegate of Belo who presented a lecture to the women on how to plant and manage the seeds which were to be donated. He explained to the women that a kilogram of the maize seeds can take one hectare of land. This was then followed by a word from the CEO of ASEED Mrs. Waindim Dorcas who welcomed the women and explained to them why the seeds were being donated.

She then highlighted some of ASEED's activities which had been carried out in Belo like the medical outreach which took place on the 18th January 2015 at Nuifor quarter Belo. She also made mentioned of some forth coming projects to be executed the days ahead especially that of supporting women and girls in vocational training programs and that of supporting children who own coffee trees with educational needs. This was followed by the donation of maize seeds to the different women groups present. Each group received according to the number of members in that group.
