Donation of school books and tuition fees to OVCs from Boyo
ASEED provided both financial and material support through school enrolment and school supplies (school bags, books and tuition fees) to some 21 selected Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) in Boyo division on 4th September 2016.
The scholarship program this 2016 was quiet remarkable because it was due to pay tributes to the Founder/CEO of ASEED, Mrs. Dorcas Waindim who died last November 2015. As a result, many OVCs benefitted from the scholarship donated including albinos for the very first time. Furthermore these 21 beneficiaries were selected from 7 primary schools (Government, Baptist and Catholic schools) and a Government Secondary School all in Boyo division.
The ceremony held at her compound in Nuifor – Belo sub division was attended by dignitaries like Mr. Francis Waindim (YCPDM Section President Belo III/ASEED donor), second hand chiefs of Belo, village head quarters, parents, pupils, students, head masters, teachers and the albino’s community who came from all over Boyo and beyond.
